MEET CHRIS

A HEART TO SERVE

Chris Stoddard is currently a pilot for American Airlines and a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves where he proudly serves his country. Disheartened by the state of affairs in California, Chris is determined to continue service to his country and community in public office.

Chris’ story

  • Born in Texas and raised in Florida and Arizona, Chris moved fairly often as a kid. His family has three generations of military service members on both sides. His grandfather, CDR Bill Stoddard, served in the Korean War and Vietnam, and was ultimately shot down over the Gulf of Tonkin. His dad and their family experienced what it means to give the ultimate sacrifice.

His mom is a retired federal employee, serving 20 years with different agencies and ultimately retiring from US Marshal Service. His dad was a Special Agent and retired from US Customs. Throughout his career Chris’ dad worked for various state and federal law enforcement agencies including Border Patrol, Naval Investigative Service, and US Customs. Growing up Chris had a first hand look at the problems facing our nation regarding illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and money laundering.

  • After earning his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Arizona State University, Chris commissioned into the United States Marine Corps and was on active duty for 11 years — deploying to Afghanistan, Romania, and Kuwait/Iraq.

In 2017, Chris got off active duty and joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves to continue serving his country as a Reserve Officer.

He deployed to Germany in 2022 to assist ongoing operations throughout Europe and Africa.

  • Putting his skills to use, Chris began working for SkyWest Airlines as a First Officer in 2018. He also took the time to go back to college to obtain his real estate license on a mission to educate veterans about their home buying benefits and to help families in Southern California realize their dream of owning a home.

During the 2020 pandemic Chris continued his education and business ventures, starting his own real estate brokerage and going to school to become an Emergency Medical Technician.

In 2021 Chris began flying for American Airlines. He also went back to college to pursue another degree. In May 2022 Chris completed his Master of Arts in Global Security degree from Arizona State University with a 4.0 GPA.

  • Seeing a need to help the families of fallen first responders and gold star families, in 2018 Chris started his own non-profit organization. The Co-Pilot Foundation was established to provide mentorship and support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Chris is very passionate about finding families to help and hopes to spread the word to those families in need.

  • Chris has decided to try his hand in politics because he believes we need to make some changes and learn to work together instead of fighting against each other and wasting taxpayer dollars.

Chris has always been a hard working military Officer and civilian, not a career politician and his background will bring a fresh perspective to politics.
